Starter Generator

The Garrett TFE731 uses a Starter/Generator (SG) and thus is electric start.  This schematic is a work in process and will be updated.  It depicts the circuit/components that must be added to the L39 to support the 731.  Starting from the batteries (we use four as the conversion requires additional nose ballast so why not use battery capacity) you go through a master contactor then to a start contactor and reverse current relay (RCR) which are in parallel then to a feeder protection relay, two high gauge cables and finally to the SG.  A Generator Control Unit and some related relay logic is employed to control the start cycle, control the generator's charging function and sequence between the two.  I'll try to add a fuller description of all these functions as time allows but, for now, please see the schematic linked above.

We do not provide any of the above described components as it costs us the same thing as it does you to source these items, we add no value to the process by getting between the seller and the buyer and it is a poor use of our time as we are better kept busy making the kit better.
